Congraduations!

This week we had the pleasure of celebrating Patrick's graduation from Columbia University! He has spent the past five years working incredibly hard to earn this degree and I am beyond proud of him. The amount of work it has taken him to accomplish his goal has been staggering. Well done!

Family arrived on Sunday to get settled in early, so we were able to grab a bite - and some ice cream - and still get to bed early.

Monday was Columbia's GS Class Day.  This was the smaller of two ceremonies, where Patrick had his name called and walked across the stage.  Check him out here around the 69:50 mark.  More formal photos of him on stage are still in the works - we'll be happy to share those once we have them.

In the meantime, enjoy some shots from around the campus with family.  Everyone was so happy for him and proud of him!

That evening we hosted a little party to celebrate.  We were able to rent out our favorite coffee shop (Double Dutch, downstairs from our apartment, and our most frequently visited coffee shop) for a lovely evening surrounded by family and friends.  It was such a happy celebration!

Tuesday (not pictured) was a quiet day.  We spent time with family, saw the city, and ate great food.

Wednesday morning was the official commencement.  Here is a link to the full ceremony - click on the University Commencement May 20, 2015 link.

We have a few shots here from the ceremony, though it was a large event and a bit tricky to capture.

Afterward we walked through nearby Morningside Park with the family and continued on to other fun the rest of the day.

We're so grateful to have had the company of those who were able to make it, and those who were not were definitely with us in spirit all week.  Thank you to everyone for all the love and support, and of course a big congratulations to Patrick!
